Veil Marketplace

About, roadmap and FAQ

Veil Marketplace is a concept for a Solana NFT marketplace built around one character: Veil, a lavender hooded figure who takes on the look of whichever meme it meets.

Roadmap

Each phase gets a date when it is ready to ship, not before.

  1. Phase 1: Design and foundation Done

    • Approved branding
    • 10 Veil concept characters
    • Homepage and marketplace screens
    • Documentation
  2. Phase 2: Solana mainnet beta Now

    • Wallet connection
    • All ten Veils minted
    • Ownership sync
    • Verified listings and checkout
  3. Phase 3: Creator ecosystem Planned

    • Creator Studio minting
    • Creator profiles
    • Collection tools
    • Moderation
  4. Phase 4: Full launch and expansion Planned

    • Audited settlement
    • Analytics
    • Offers and auctions
    • Rewards and collaborations

How buying will work

  1. Connect a Solana wallet.
  2. Open a verified listing and check its metadata.
  3. Review the price, every fee, and the seller and collection details.
  4. Approve the marketplace transaction in your wallet.
  5. Wait for Solana to confirm it and for ownership to transfer.
  6. Your portfolio and activity update from the confirmed on-chain data.

Fees

The marketplace may charge a transaction fee, and creator royalties will be supported where Solana's NFT standards allow it. No fee, revenue share or royalty rate has been set. When they are, they will be published here and itemized at checkout before you sign.

Planned safeguards

  • Nothing moves without your signature: every transaction opens in your wallet for approval.
  • Transactions are simulated before you sign, so you can see what will change.
  • Price, marketplace fee and royalty are itemized before you approve.
  • Verified collections are tied to their creator wallet, so look-alike collections can be spotted.
  • Settlement runs through an audited marketplace program, not checks in the browser.
  • Outbound links are checked and new content goes through moderation.

Questions

Is Veil Marketplace live on Solana?

Partly. All ten Veils are minted on Solana mainnet, and wallets can connect to show their address, SOL balance and the Veils they hold. Buying, selling and minting through the site are not open yet.

Which wallets will work?

Solana wallets that support the Wallet Standard, such as Phantom, Solflare and Backpack. Connecting is read-only for now: the site shows your address and balance and never asks you to sign.

How will buying work?

Open a listing, check the price and every fee, then approve the transaction in your wallet. The Veil moves to your wallet once Solana confirms the transfer.

How do I mint my own Veil?

Design it in Creator Studio and preview its metadata. Minting from your wallet opens in phase 3, Creator ecosystem, and the mint fee is shown before you sign.

What happens if a transaction fails?

If Solana doesn't confirm it, the Veil and your SOL stay where they were and you can try again. A transaction that reaches the network and then fails can still cost its small network fee.

Who owns the rights to a Veil I create?

Creator rights and licensing terms will be published before minting opens. Nothing in this prototype grants or transfers any rights.

How are collections verified?

A verified collection is linked to its creator wallet and an on-chain collection record, so look-alikes can't borrow its name. No collection is verified yet.

Are the meme Veils official collaborations?

No. Fan-inspired Veils reference community memes and projects without any partnership. Official collaborations will carry their own label.

Independence

Veil Marketplace is an independent concept. It isn't affiliated with the VEIL protocol and has no partnership with BONK, Pepe, dogwifhat, Popcat, Solana or any other project referenced in fan-inspired artwork. Commercial use of their names or logos would need their permission.
